Mt Greylock Loop - 2 days / 1 night
The highest point in Massachusetts is tucked away in the extreme northwest corner of the State, and while it is possible to drive to the summit, a 2-day trip is much more rewarding. This adventure features a ridgeline assault from the south where you will join the Appalachian Trail once you gain the ridge to the summit. After enjoying the views on Vermont to the north and New York to the west, you descend one of two shelter options depending upon your hiking energy levels. With an early return to your car the next day, there is time to grab some local barbeque before heading home.
