Kinsman Ridge - 2 days / 1 night
This 2-day adventure is highly recommended for adventurers who want to start their hiking/backpacking resume with some decent trail mileage and bag two 4000’ peaks on a quick weekend getaway. At just under 16 total miles, your approach to the Kinsman Mountains follows a well-established trail along the ridge to a lean-to or tent site alongside a crystal-clear mountain stream. The next morning you will ascent to the height of land and the first of two summits. What follows is a 1-mile ridge run before descending into Franconia Notch to your vehicle drop location. A well-earned meal at the Woodstock Brewery is the perfect reward for your efforts.
